Calling All Artists of Ashford and the Community

Calling all watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, sculpture and jewelry artists. A Show and Sale is scheduled at Ashford for:

Friday, May 9th, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.; and
Saturday, May 10th, from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A donation of $10 will be required by each artist participating to cover advertising and space plus a percentage of all sales as a donation to the church. Refreshments will be served.

Ashford has had several successful trips to the orphanage and school in Galeana, Mexico.  The 2008 trip is presently scheduled for May 31st to June 7th, where it is hoped that much will be accomplished and the Galeana Mission Trip Team will share many rewarding experiences upon their return.

In 2004, our missionaries took a hike to "The Arch Of God."

APRIL ACTIVITY

The Ashford Friends fellowship group has planned a trip to Houston's Radio Music Theatre on Saturday, April 12th. This is an activity sponsored by members by the FaithLink Sunday School class.

Worship Services are generally held at 8:30 a.m. and at 11:00 a.m. every Sunday. Communion is generally celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.

Our 8:30 a.m. service is a contemplative service that is evolving. During Lent 2008, we have celebrated communion every Sunday. We have also been blessed with special readings of the Psalms by Adult Discipleship leader, Cindy Serio.

Our 11:00 a.m. service sometimes will include special events, such as a presentation from the Zion Dancers or the Children's Choir, or feature a soloist from our choir.

The Children's Sermon is a regular feature of the 11:00 a.m. service.
