Options for Giving
Pledges and other gifts to support the missions of Ashford United Methodist Church can be made in several ways:

Check or Cash
Writing a check is probably the most common way members give today.  Once a year, or each month or week, depending on your pledge, write a check and drop it in the collection plate during Worship. For many members, writing a check periodically and dropping it in the plate is a welcome ritual that reminds them of their commitment.

Remember to write "2009 Pledge" on your check's memo line so your gift will be correctly credited towards your pledge and appear on your quarterly record of contributions.  You can also mail your check to the church office.  If you elect to give cash in the collection plate, please place it in an envelope labeled with your name and "2009 Pledge." Of course, you should never send cash through the mail.

If your gift is intended to fund something other than your pledge, such as W.H.A.M., please indicate its purpose on the memo line of your check or envelope.

Electronic Giving
Electronic Giving is a convenient way to give systematically once a month.  Once it is set up, you no longer have to remember to write a check for your pledge.  This can help you give from your first fruits and keep on track with your commitment even when you miss Worship.

To start electronic giving, simply complete and return the electronic giving form that was included in your Stewardship packet. Each month the church will debit your bank account, transfer the gift to the church's account, and credit the amount towards your pledge.

If you later need to revise your pledge, you can change the debit from your account simply by submitting a new form.  If you need an electronic giving form, you can pick one up in the church office or ask an usher during Worship.

Online Bill Pay
If you prefer not to write checks, but prefer to control when your gift is transferred to the church, you can use the online bill pay service offered by your bank or credit union.  This method allows you to choose when and how much to give to the church.  After you authorize a payment on the service's website, the service will mail your payment to the church.  When you set up each payment, indicate if it is intended for your pledge or for another purpose.

Call your bank or credit union or check their website to learn how to set up online bill pay.
